Stuffer

Purpose of position: Cut and stock cases of product to maintain proper stock levels for order selection.

Hours: 5:30am-4:00pm (at times, overtime may be required)

Schedule: Must work every Saturday plus 3 weekdays.

Additional Information: This is an exciting opportunity that will keep you moving! Requires repetitive bending and lifting of full cases of product up to 60lbs.

Overnight Replenishment

Purpose of Position: To re-stock product throughout the warehouse. Stockers are responsible for cutting the tops off cases of product and placing them on shelves for Order Selectors to pick product from.

Hours: 10:30pm-9:00am (at times, overtime may be required)

Schedule: Must work Sunday and Friday night plus 2 other weeknights

Additional Information: This position is eligible for incentive pay and requires constant lifting of full cases of product that can weigh up to 60 lbs. Overnight associates start out as Stockers and may be eligible to train in an overnight reach truck position after 90 days with good performance.

Order Selectors

Purpose of position: Pick product in less than full case quantities

Hours: 5:30am-2:00pm 5 days/week (includes Saturday) or 5:30am-4:00pm 4 days/week (includes Saturday) You choose!

Schedule: Must work every Saturday plus 3 or 4 weekdays.

Additional Information: This is a fast-paced job that will keep you on your feet (you may walk 5-10 miles a day). This position is eligible for incentive pay.

Cycle Counter


Purpose of Position: To physically count the product in the distiribution center in both full-case and less-than-full-case quantities in comparison to the inventory system numbers.

Hours: Part-Time 11-15 Hours Per Week

Schedule: 1 or 2 weekday evenings 5:30pm - 9:30pm, Saturday evening 5:00pm - 8:30pm, and/or Sunday morning 7:00am - 11:00am.

Other Information: This is an ideal position for students, for those looking to supplement their income, or for anyone else looking for part-time evening or weekend work. Must be at least 18 years old.

Recruiting Specialist

Purpose of Position: The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for managing all employment activities including identifying, screening, assessing and selecting qualified candidates (internal and external) to fill open positions at all levels of the organization.

Position Description: This position will:
·Identify position openings and source candidates through targeted advertising, partnerships, and industry networking.
·Manage the selection process to include sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing and hiring high-quality applicants for all assigned openings, up to management level positions.
·Check credentials and references as necessary.
·Conduct criminal background checks.
·Source and build a network of contacts with key professional organizations. Stay abreast and capitalize on trends and opportunities in the Supermarket/retail industry.
·Maintain all data associated with the recruitment of open positions ensuring timely and accurate information for reporting throughout the recruiting process.
·Manage the recruitment life cycle process from the manager's point of view to include: managing Hiring Managers' expectations related to the hiring process, candidate flow and coaching on effective interviewing techniques, finalist selection and extending candidate offers.
·Manage the recruitment life cycle process from the candidate point of view to include: supporting the interview process, informing candidates of the benefits of the company, providing timely and appropriate feedback to internal and external candidates that apply for open positions.
·Manage requisitions and applicant information in the applicant tracking system.
·Ensure successful on-boarding through the facilitation of consistent and positive new hire orientations.
· Schedule, coordinate and attend job fairs as needed.
·Conduct exit interviews with associates that are leaving the organization; Monitor turnover statistics and identify/act-upon trends; Assist with identifying and developing retention programs for current associates.
·Provide weekly staffing updates as well as ad-hoc reports upon request.
·Manage diversity awareness and strategy to support company goals.
· Assist with associate relations counseling, coaching and investigations. Support and guide supervisors and managers in HR related processes and systems.
·Ensure compliance with Ahold's policies as well as legal requirements associated with employment eligibility verification.
· Provide support for additional projects as needed.

Additional Information: To perform at a proficient level, a candidate would be expected to posses the following skills and experience:

Education and Experience
·Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
·PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
·2 - 4 Years high-volume, multi-disciplined recruiting experience. Experience in a distribution center a plus

Skills and Knowledge
·Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a self-starter
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
·Strong presentation skills
·Proven ability to work with various levels of the organization to create and implement effective recruiting plans
·Sense of urgency with the ability to work within tight deadlines
·Working knowledge of employment law Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations

Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift

Purpose of Position: This position performs mechanical maintenance on the equipment in and around the distribution center. This includes inspecting conveyor systems and repairing potential problems; performing planned maintenance on industrial batteries and battery changer; changing batteries in material handling equipment; performing repairs of building and grounds; performing plumbing and electrical repairs as well as minor fire system repairs; assisting with snow removal (potentially loader and salter operation); cleaning maintenance shop area and performing other maintenance duties as directed.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Other Information: To perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified, a candidate would be expected to have:
· High School Diploma/G.E.D.
· Basic computer skills
· Experience using hand tools 1-3 years mechanical maintenance experience, including conveyor systems and industrial electrical systems
· Knowledge of motor control centers
· Ability to read a volt meter
· Extensive experience with 480volt 3 phase electrical systems
· Experience with HVAC control programming
· Must have flexibility to be called upon any time of day or night to handle emergency situations.
· Must be self-motivated and able to work independently

Distribution Supervisor - 1st Shift

Purpose of Position: Distribution Supervisors are responsible for managing the activities of 50-100 associates and department leads to ensure the goals of the day/department are being met through the management of productivity standards, safety, and coordination of work between departments. Supervisors are also responsible for adhering to ASC's standards of associate relations and commitment to communication.

Position Description: ASC expects its Supervisory team to perform multiple functions within a day to include demonstrated problem solving, a keen awareness of safety and sanitation while maintaining high standards as they relate to productivity and methods/procedures, and a strong associate focus

The successful candidate will have the ability to function effectively in a fast paced, changing environment while balancing the needs of our associates as well as the needs of our customers.

Additional responsibilities include partnering with human resources to hire and train in a timely manner; Consistently applying and supporting all policies/procedures; Making decisions based on analysis, experience and good judgment; Contributing innovative suggestions for improving work; Modeling a positive approach and sense of urgency when dealing with problems; Striving for a culture of shared concern for the well being of all associates, encouraging opportunities for participation and teamwork; Maintaining a visible presence on the floor, identifying performance issues, conducting audits and identifying potential barriers to productivity.

The selected candidate will also review daily time punches for accuracy and completeness; Participate in operational, accuracy, safety and other improvement committees as required; Complete documentation (accident/injury/policy) including investigation, follow up and retraining; Provide testimony with State Unemployment board and Workers' Compensation Board as necessary; Perform other duties and projects as requested by the Distribution Operations Manager or Facility Manager

Schedule: Although this is a 1st shift position, Distribution Supervisors must have the flexibility to support any shift in a 24/7 environment. While the weekday schedule for this candidate is to be determined, the selected candidate will be required to work Saturdays. Shifts will start as early as 5:30am.

Additional Information: To perform at a proficient level, a candidate would be expected to have:
· Degree in business management or equivalent experience
· 2-4 years experience in warehouse/distribution operations (5-7 years experience preferred)
· Experience supervising in a non-union environment
· Clear understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, shipping, receiving, selection, and productivity management systems
· Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bi-lingual candidate (Spanish, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian,Burmese or Nepali) strongly desired
· Demonstrated leadership skills that generate respect and understanding
· Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, coaching and counseling skills
· Flexibility to manage relationships with hourly associates and all levels of management (strong background in associate relations is necessary)
· Work effectively in a fast paced, high pressured work environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
· Availability to regularly work Saturdays
· Flexibility to support any shift in a 24/7 environment
